A dermatologist will be able to evaluate your situation and make a decision with your medical history in mind. If prescribed, you will walk away with a prescription that you can fill at your pharmacy of choice. This will allow you to buy Finasteride as cheaply as possible. This is the route I went, although because of COVID my consultation was completed over a video call.
Telemedicine companies
There are a number of websites or apps you can use to obtain a prescription for Finasteride. These companies typically require a short consultation (over a video or audio call) or ask you to fill out lengthy forms regarding your condition and medical history. In my opinion, this is the second-best option. It isn’t as hands or as personal as visiting a dermatologist, but you will still walk away with a prescription that you can fill at any given pharmacy.

If you are looking for a one-stop-shop, these companies provide quick and convenient access to Finasteride. Unfortunately, there is a price to pay for convenience. If you have your prescription filled through these companies you will generally pay more for Finasteride than if you were to buy tablets from a local pharmacy. The other downside is that even though these companies will provide you with a Finasteride prescription, it might be difficult or impossible to get a copy of that prescription that can be used elsewhere.
